Completing all four Livestock Breeding courses provided significant advantages, as they equipped me with practical skills and a thorough understanding of the reproductive system from start to finish. This has given me a deeper appreciation of how each stage is interconnected, as well as insight into how different livestock enterprises have distinct reproductive goals — from maximising fertility in studs to ensuring dairy cows are successfully in calf. As a result, I am able to assist farmers across a range of livestock industries with these essential processes.

The AI training strengthened my professionalism and accuracy, particularly improving my precision in pregnancy testing. Training in semen collection further expanded my skill set and understanding of sperm collection and evaluation prior to processing. The morphology component was especially fascinating, providing valuable experience in microscope use, sperm diagnosis, and accurate assessment of sperm cells.

Altogether, these courses have enhanced my data recording accuracy, professional capability, and practical expertise, while also giving me valuable insight and confidence as I continue developing my career in this field.
