About
Orion has developed a wide range of delivery methodologies and techniques designed to provide sound learning outcomes while allowing for flexibility in delivery. Orion’s training staff will work with clients through a process of Training Needs Analysis to develop a training plan which brings together the best possible delivery options for each unit of competency.
Face to Face Delivery
Orion staff and trainers understand and value the benefits of face to face training delivery. Many learners still prefer to interact with their trainer either as part of a group in the workplace or classroom, or in a one-to-one environment. Orion is committed to delivering the training to suit individual student and client needs.
Distance Learning
Distance delivery via correspondence allows participants to use a comprehensive set of paper- based learning resources that will guide learners through assessment tasks and supporting content. Learners can access support from trainers via email or phone if it is required.
Workplace Training
To undertake Workplace Training, Students will either be currently employed in a relevant job role or have access to a workplace to complete work experience. Employer supported training provides access to continued practice and implementation of learnt skills and knowledge, it also provides a Student the opportunity to ask questions
Mixed Delivery
Blended or mixed-mode learning is a combination of some or all of the available methodologies so students, in conjunction with trainers, can select the best possible mix of delivery styles which meets their needs. This will be negotiated with participants as part of the Training Needs Analysis process to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Recognition of Prior Learning
RPL is the process of gathering evidence of existing skill sets gained through any formal or informal training that can be aligned to the units of competency which make up the qualification. If assessed as competent through RPL students do not have to undertake formal training and assessment activities in order to obtain competency in the unit.
