Orion will provide you with the total costs associated with completing your chosen qualification prior to enrolment. There are no hidden charges in our fees, the price quoted is inclusive of administration costs, textbooks, resources, assessment materials and the issuing of your qualification.
The total course fees are dependent on several factors such as;
- The type and level of delivery most suitable for your needs i.e classroom, one on one training sessions, RPL or distance delivery;
- The location that the training will take place;
- If you are eligible to receive a credit transfer for any units of competency;
- if you are training individually or as part of a group;
- The number of face to face training sessions that you require; and
- If there is any funding available to subsidise your course fees
We understand that individual training needs are unique to each student. It is important that we have a conversation with you over the phone before you enrol, to provide you with all of the necessary information to help you make an informed decision about the most suitable qualification, course level and delivery method for you.
Once you have decided to proceed and submitted your Enrolment Application, an invoice for your course fees will be issued and emailed to you. Payment of either the total fee (if under $1500), or the first instalment of your payment plan, must be received prior to commencement of your course.
Course fees totalling more than $1,500
In accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, the maximum amount of fees that may be collected in advance is $1500.
- This means that if you enrol into a full fee-for-service qualification, you will need to pay by instalments. The first payment may be no more than $1500 in accordance with the standards.
Student Payment Plans
Invoices are payable within 7 days. Overdue fees may affect your ability to continue training or submit further assessments, so contact Orion as soon as possible to make a suitable payment arrangement.
Individual payment plans assist you to:
- Pay your fees off over a period of months
- Pay in weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments
- Pay no interest or additional charges
- Change your payment plan if your situation changes
Employers or students can also elect to pay in three equal instalments:
- The first upon enrolment
- The second at 3 months
- The third at 6 months or before the qualification is issued if you complete sooner than 6 months.
If you have requested a payment plan, you are expected to make direct deposits of the agreed amount at the agreed intervals. Any student who is in default of fees for more than 60 days may have their enrolment or course suspended until payments resume.
