WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A HOST FARM

Joining our Host Farm Incentive Program means you are willing to have Orion deliver a course on your farm and in return we will pay you for each student that attends the course.

Whether it is artificial insemination, pregnancy testing, semen collecting or other livestock breeding courses, Orion needs access to live animals and farming facilities throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania. South Australia and Northern Territory.

Depending on the course, you may be required to provide access to one or more of the following: • Yards and crush(s) in good condition • Artificial Insemination course – empty cows • Pregnancy testing course – pregnant cows • Semen collection and processing – bulls

Each course runs for up to three (3) days and may attract up to six (6) students attending each course.

Orion provides the equipment required for each course such as AI guns, training semen straws, etc.

HOST FARM INCENTIVE

There are two programs where a host farm is paid an incentive:

PROGRAM 1

A course is booked to be delivered on your farm for you and/or your team and there is room to accommodate one (1) or more external students. For each external student we add to your course, Orion will pay you $150.00 per student.

PROGRAM 2

You are willing to host regular courses at a time of year that suits your breeding practices. Orion will pay you $150.00 per student plus a $200.00 facility fee.

Prices per student and facilities fees are a per course amount no matter how long the duration of the course. Payment is based on students who attend only.
